The impact we have on others starts with the impact we have on ourselves.

It's been a while, and behold FINALS approach!

Twas a night or so before Finals and the students were restless. The finals came closer and the stress level rose. Not a student was sleeping especially the Freshman.

I guess my point in writing that is to say that yes my stress level is slowly creeping up, but I'm also slowly pushing it right back down... so we shall see how that goes. I need help with homework. I need a new brain. HECK I need a break from classes! I also need a ride to CO this is sooo annoying! I'm wishing, I'm praying! I have to get there before the 19th... ackers! Well, I guess that's all for now... tata! ;)

Welcome to Iceburg, Idaho!

Even though it hasn't gotten this cold yet...

For Behold there was a day in a little town called Rexburg where it was about 19 degress outside. It quickly went up to 22 degrees and began to snow. The snow fell all day long & the wind blew, and people played and had fun. That night everyone went to bed... only to hear the snow plows a few hours later. When students were getting ready to go to class in the morning a few decided to see how cold it was outside soon to realize that it was in the negatives. Students bundle up to go to class so they do not freeze. They wear shoes that will help them not to fall on the ground. It is said that in "Rexburg, Idaho... Many are cold, but few are frozen." As this statement becomes true we begin to call this place Iceburg Idaho... many may ask how Rexburg gets the name Iceburg... well, when the snow falls and stays and the roads begin to look like ice & the students put layers on to walk to class and you see people walking in buildings and taking layers off because it's about 50 degrees warmer inside. and that means it is about 50 degrees inside... then it is Iceburg, Idaho! This place is like a tunnel... the coldest place in Idaho... well, except for maybe up by Canada... see in Boise, Idaho it's not nearly as cold as it is here in Iceburg! This is the reason I have begun to call Rexburg "Teh Burg" because it is both Rexburg & Iceburg! So I shortened it! :)

BAD DAY!

I think Daniel Powter's song Bad Day will be very good to describe today!

Daniel Powter
Bad DayWhere is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to gray
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee you go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces every time
And I don't need no carryin' on

Because you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Will you need a blue sky holiday?
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

(Oooh.. a holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong

(yeah...)

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

I'm home for how long?

Yes, I'm home for a few weeks! Until September... to be exact! I don't know what to think cause it's been 2 years since I was home in the summer! So, I'm still getting used to it! Eh... all will eventually be okay I guess! I don't know what else to say... sigh! Life is insane!

I HOPE YOU HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE!

Yesterday was Jonathan and Mike's birthday & the day Joseph Smith died... kinda crazy how life goes on! I miss my bubba! Yeah, this isn't as long as these things usually are, but I don't feel like talking too much!
