An interesting view on my life as of late

As many know I went to Colorado for a month to help my mom with my grandmother's estate. Despite missing friends, and prior to leaving to go not feeling like I truly belonged anywhere I went and had an amazing experience.

In helping my mother I have strengthened my relationship with her, and proven to myself that being alone can sometimes be a good thing. I remember when I was a kid I use to play by myself in my room. I'd make up stories of how my barbies had a ball to go to... Or how my stuffed animals did poorly in school. Being the youngest of five children and my sisters being 4 & 8 years older than me... They didn't really ever play with barbies with me. I remember my sister that is 4 years older did it a couple of times, but not a whole lot.
Anyways, I digress... While I was in Colorado I found out loads about my grandmother that I never knew when she was alive. I learned that sometimes we take those around us for granted cause we are too busy worrying about the latest gossip, or how this or that person hurt us. A really good friend once told me why he is so often positive... I decided to just smile more and just be me again. I love who I am. I love that I can honestly say that I know it is possible to see wonderful people like my grandmother again. There are good people in this world. I see it everyday. I have wonderful people in my life. I don't know if any of them realize that.

I've learned that a smile can change the world. And that sometimes being alone is just what Heavenly Father ordered.

I have learned that despite rumors or anything else that has ever been said about me doesn't matter because what matters most is what Heavenly Father thinks of me. One day I'll meet the man of my dreams, but right now what matters is to continuously love myself. Who I am and what I stand for means more to me then anything else in the world!
